This step has been taken to reduce the content load on students, following the recommendations of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The JKBOSE website will release the rationalised syllabi that includes the deleted content in due course of time. This step is taken to ensure transparency and provide stakeholders, including students, teachers, and parents, with access to the revised curriculum. By making the rationalised syllabi available on the JKBOSE website, individuals will be able to stay informed about the specific topics and chapters that have been removed.

This will allow them to adjust their learning and teaching strategies accordingly. The availability of this information reflects JKBOSE’s commitment to providing an effective and updated education system in Jammu and Kashmir.

To ensure transparency and facilitate access to the revised syllabi, the deleted topics/chapters can be checked on the NCERT website until JKBOSE publishes the new syllabus. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Visit the official website of the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT).
  2. Locate the section labeled “Rationalized Content” or a similar title on the website’s homepage.
  3. Click on the “Rationalized Content” section to proceed.
  4. Choose the appropriate class for which you want to check the deleted topics/chapters (e.g., Class 9th, Class 10th, etc.).
  5. A list of rationalized syllabi and textbooks for the selected class will be displayed.
  6. Navigate to the relevant subject or chapter of interest.
  7. Review the provided details to identify any topics/chapters that have been deleted or modified as part of the rationalization process.

It is important to note that until JKBOSE releases the new syllabus, checking the deleted chapters from the NCERT website will help students, teachers, and parents stay informed about the changes in the curriculum.

By following these steps, individuals can adapt their study materials and teaching methods accordingly, ensuring a smooth transition when the new syllabus is implemented by JKBOSE.
