New WhatsApp Update for Android: Now You Can Share Your Screen During Video Calls - JKSA

WhatsApp Enhances Video Call Experience with Screen Sharing Feature
WhatsApp is continuously working to enhance its voice and video call capabilities on the Android app. In its latest endeavor, the popular messaging platform has introduced a new feature that allows users to easily share their screens during video calls. This feature is currently being rolled out to select beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.19 update from the Google Play Store.
The new screen sharing feature can be accessed by tapping on a dedicated icon located in the call control view. Upon selecting this option, users will be able to share everything displayed on their screens with the recipient in real-time.
However, it’s worth noting that the availability of this feature may vary depending on the Android version being used. Additionally, screen sharing may not work in large group calls, and recipients using outdated versions of WhatsApp might not be able to receive the shared screen content.

Users have full control over the screen sharing process and can terminate it at any time. While the feature allows continuous transmission of the screen content, it is only activated if the user consents to share their screen.
In addition to the screen sharing functionality, users who install the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.19 update may notice a slight rearrangement of tabs in the bottom navigation bar. Specifically, some users will see the tabs organized in the following order: Chats, Calls, Communities, and Status.
The screen sharing feature, along with the updated tab arrangement, is currently available to a limited number of beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update. However, WhatsApp plans to gradually roll out these features to more users over the next few weeks.
With these additions, WhatsApp aims to provide its Android users with a more comprehensive and interactive video calling experience. As the testing phase progresses and user feedback is received, it is expected that further improvements and refinements will be made to ensure the seamless functioning of these features.
