University of Kashmir Announces Admission Notification for Undergraduate Courses
Srinagar, June 9, 2023 – The University of Kashmir, a prestigious institution accredited with Grade A by NAAC, has released an admission notification for the 5th and 6th semesters of the Batch 2021 (Regular) under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) Semester Scheme. In a special case, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor has authorized the provisional admission for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.C.A, B.B.A, B.M.M.M.C, OCMIL, and Fazila courses. The admission process will be conducted in the affiliated colleges of the University.
According to the notification, all candidates from the Batch 2021, including those from B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.C.A, B.B.A, B.M.M.M.C, OCMIL, and Fazila (3rd and 4th Semesters), are eligible for admission. Additionally, candidates from the Batch 2020 and previous batches, including erstwhile Annual scheme students (2nd year), who have not yet sought admission in the 5th and 6th Semester scheme, are also eligible to apply.
Candidates from the Batch 2021 seeking admission in the 5th and 6th Semesters are required to visit the Information Cell of the respective colleges to obtain the Enrolment Sheet. They do not need to download any admission form. However, candidates from the Batch 2020 and previous batches, including Annual Scheme students seeking admission in the 5th and 6th Semesters, must submit the Online Admission Form available on the University’s website. In case of any discrepancy related to online form submission, the candidate must visit the Information Cell of the college with all the original documents.
The Enrolment Sheet for Batch 2021 and the downloaded admission form for Batch 2020 and previous batches should be submitted in the respective college with a specific subject combination as per the current syllabus. The college, using the unique Form Numbers printed on the forms, will accept the new forms on the University’s online portal. The college will assign subjects online based on the candidate’s preferences mentioned in the Enrolment Sheet or admission form.
To confirm the assigned subjects and submit the required fee, candidates need to check the MyFormStatus page on the University’s website. By entering their University Registration Number, candidates can confirm the assigned subjects before making the fee payment. If the subjects shown on the MyFormStatus page do not match the candidate’s preferences, they should visit the College Information Cell for subject correction within the stipulated time, before generating the fee receipt.
Once the online subject confirmation and fee payment have been made through the payment gateway on the MyFormStatus page, no further subject changes will be allowed. Candidates can choose the mode of fee payment available to them, and those opting for the Receipt Mode can deposit the fees at any Finacle Branch of J&K Bank.
As per the fee structure in place, candidates must submit the required admission and examination fees for the 5th and 6th Semesters. It is mandatory for all admitted candidates to attend classes regularly, as their attendance will be counted from the start of the class work.
Principals of all affiliated colleges are requested to forward the information/report/Registration Return, along with the prescribed Fee Report generated online, to the office of the undersigned within 10 days after the closure of admission. Payment made through any other means, including bank drafts, will not be accepted.
