Revised Prices for Commercial LPG Announced by State-Run Oil Marketing Companies

In a recent development, state-run oil marketing companies have made adjustments to the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, while keeping domestic cooking gas rates unchanged. The revision has led to a significant reduction in the price of LPG cylinders in New Delhi, with the cost per cylinder being slashed by ₹83.50 from ₹1,856.50 to ₹1,773.

The revised price for commercial LPG cylinders in Kolkata now stands at ₹1,875.50, while in Mumbai, it has been set at ₹1,725. Likewise, in Chennai, commercial LPG cylinders can now be obtained for ₹1,937.

These adjustments in prices have come into effect as of today, as per the regular practice of revising rates for both commercial and domestic LPG on the first day of every month.

It is noteworthy that the last modification in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders occurred in May. As of the current rates, domestic cooking gas is priced at ₹1,003 per 14.2-kg cylinder in New Delhi. In Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, the corresponding prices are ₹1,029, ₹1,002.5, and ₹1,018.5, respectively.

These revisions in LPG prices reflect the ongoing efforts of oil marketing companies to adjust the rates in response to market dynamics and changes in the cost of production.

Consumers can now benefit from the reduced prices of commercial LPG cylinders, while domestic cooking gas rates remain unaffected for the time being.
