NEET Counselling 2023: With the declaration of NEET Result 2023, qualified aspirants who are willing to seek admission to medical or dental colleges in India are now looking forward to participating in NEET Counselling 2023. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for conducting the NEET UG Counselling 2023 and shortlisting eligible candidates for the admission process. NEET Counselling 2023
Candidates are advised to follow a set of procedures to participate in NEET UG Counselling 2023 which include registration, choice filling, and payment of the fee. The seats are allotted based on the choice filling by the candidates, NEET Rank secured, seat availability, and reservation. The NEET counselling 2023 conducted by MCC is based on 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats allocated to government colleges and 100% to the deemed universities such as ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programs.

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) grants admission to about 99,313 MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 603 BVSc & AH seats, in 542 and 313 medical and dental colleges. On the grounds of NEET score and various factors, the candidate’s seat in the desired college/university is decided. NEET Counselling 2023 is conducted in 4 rounds namely round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and stray vacancy round.

Steps in NEET UG Counselling 2023
The following are the steps involved in NEET 2023 Counselling process conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Qualified candidates are required to undergo each step in getting shortlisted for admission to the college of their choice. The steps are listed below:
Step 1: Registration for NEET Counselling 2023
The very first step in the NEET 2023 Counselling is the registration process, in which qualified and eligible candidates register themselves at official website www.mcc.nic.in. Various details such as NEET roll number, registration number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth are to be filled online and finally counselling fee and security fee has to be paid using credit or debit card.

Step 2: Chioce filling for NEET UG Counselling 2023
In this step, candidates are allowed to make a dummy sheet to fill their dream colleges of interest. Candidates should log in to official website using registered credentials and priortize the preferred choices available from lsit of colleges or courses from choice filling section. The choices made by the aspirants are saved and locked before the scheduled date and time and print out could be taken for future reference.
Step 3: NEET 2023 Seat Allotment
This step take place in four rounds such as Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up and Stary vacancy round. The seat allotment letters are to be downloaded by candidates as and when it is released by MCC. Candidates should also note that free exit is available in the first round, while a forfeiture exit is available in the second round.
Step 4: Reporting to Allotted College
This is the final step in NEET 2023 Counselling process in which candidates must report to the designated college or university being allotted to them. The candidates are required to submit their original documemts which are mentioned below during reporting.
Documents required for NEET counselling 2023
The following are the documents to be presented in originals while reporting to the designated college chosen by the aspirant. Candidates should never miss to carry any of these documents and keep them ready to avoid any last minute rush. The documents include:
- NEET 2023 Admit Card
- NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter
- Class 10th certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)
- Class 12th certificate and mark sheet
- ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
- Eight passport size photographs
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Caste Certificate and PwD Certificate(if applicable)
