Mainly Clear Weather Expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Farmers and Outdoor Enthusiasts Can Rejoice

Following days of intermittent rain, the meteorological department in Jammu and Kashmir has forecasted mainly clear weather, with a slight chance of late afternoon and evening showers, until June 12.

This favorable weather conditions announcement comes as good news for farmers who can now proceed with their farm operations during this period. Additionally, the public can plan outdoor activities without much concern for rain.

According to a meteorological department official, the next 24 hours are expected to be mainly clear, with a possibility of brief spells of rain, thunder, and lightning in some areas later in the day. However, the chances of such occurrences are relatively low.

From June 4 to June 12, the weather will predominantly be dry, although there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The official also mentioned that there will be a gradual increase in temperature.

To make the most of the favorable conditions, farmers are advised to carry out their farm operations from today until the 12th of June, preferably starting early in the morning to avoid potential rain in the evenings. Additionally, the public is encouraged to plan outdoor activities for this weekend and the following week, as the risk of rain is minimal.

Regarding the temperature, Srinagar experienced a low of 9.8°C, which remained consistent with the previous night and was 2.7°C below the normal range for the summer capital. Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kupwara, Kokernag, and Gulmarg also reported temperatures below the normal range for their respective areas.

Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, registered a low of 18.6°C, which was 6.9°C below the average temperature. Other regions such as Banihal, Batote, Katra, Bhaderwah, and Leh in Ladakh also experienced temperatures lower than usual.

With the upcoming period of mainly clear weather, Jammu and Kashmir residents can enjoy outdoor activities and farmers can make significant progress with their agricultural tasks, bringing a sense of relief and optimism to the region.
